These Terms and Conditions explain how The Sleepy Treehouse services work: what each program includes, how to book and pay, what happens if you need to reschedule or cancel, and what each of us is responsible for. By booking a service, you confirm that you have read and accept these terms.

1. Who we are

Services are provided by:

  • The Sleepy Treehouse, Lda.
  • Tax ID (NIF): 517621517
  • Registered office: Rua Castilho, n.º 32, 9.º andar, 1250-070 Lisboa, Portugal
  • Email: msm@thesleepytreehouse.pt
  • Website: www.thesleepytreehouse.pt

2. What we do (and what we don’t)

The Sleepy Treehouse provides child sleep consulting services: we help families understand their child’s sleep and build habits and routines that lead to calmer nights, based on certified training from the Family Sleep Institute.

Sleep consulting is not a medical service. We do not diagnose or treat, and our support does not replace that of a pediatrician or other health professional. If your child has a health issue (for example, reflux, allergies, apnea, breathing difficulties or poor growth), you should talk to your pediatrician before starting a sleep plan and let us know about any relevant health concern.

3. Our services

Free 15-minute discovery call (optional). To get to know The Sleepy Treehouse, ask your questions and find out which program best suits your family.

Branch: Newborn (0 to 4 months). A 90-minute video call session, the “Healthy Sleep Foundations” guide and 2 follow-up emails for simple questions until your baby turns 4 months. A sleep plan is not included.

Tepee: 1-week sleep training program (from 5 months). Sleep questionnaire, a 60 to 90 minute video consultation, a personalized sleep training plan, daily review of your sleep log and support for 1 week, and a wrap-up call.

Dreamcatcher: 2-week sleep training program (from 5 months). Sleep questionnaire, a 60 to 90 minute video consultation, a personalized sleep training plan, daily review of your sleep log and support for 2 weeks, and a wrap-up call.

Lullaby: Ask me anything. A 30 or 60 minute call for any questions you have along the way.

Sleep Support Voucher. A gift voucher that can be used for any of our services (see section 9).

The support channel during programs (email, WhatsApp, call or other) is agreed with you at the first consultation.

4. Prices and payment

All prices include VAT at the applicable rate.

Bookings are made through Calendly and payment is made online at the time of booking, by card or another method offered by the payment platform. Your booking is only confirmed once payment has been made. The invoice is sent by email.

5. Before the first session

When the program includes a sleep questionnaire, we ask you to fill it in and send it at least 48 hours before the session. That way, by the time we meet, we already know a little about your nights. If the questionnaire doesn’t arrive in time, we may need to reschedule the session.

The information you give us must be true and complete, especially regarding your child’s health.

6. Rescheduling, missed sessions and delays

  • You can reschedule a session free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled time, using the link in your confirmation email or by email.
  • If you miss a session without notice, or give less than 24 hours’ notice, we will arrange a new date with you, free of charge. In unexpected situations (for example, if your child is ill), we always try to find a solution.
  • If you are late, the session ends at the scheduled time.
  • If we need to reschedule, we will let you know as early as possible and offer a new date.

Commitment and pauses during the program. A sleep plan only works if it is followed consistently. That is why, when booking Tepee or Dreamcatcher, parents commit to following the program for its full length, from start to finish, and should choose the start date with this in mind (avoiding, for example, trips, moving house or starting daycare).

The program can only be paused if your child becomes ill. In that case, we resume the program as soon as your child has recovered, within 30 days at most.

7. Right of withdrawal

Because our services are purchased online (a distance contract), you have 14 days from the booking date to withdraw, without giving any reason. To do so, just email us at msm@thesleepytreehouse.pt or use the model form at the end of these terms. We will refund you within 14 days, using the same payment method you used.

If the service starts before the 14 days are up. Many families prefer to start right away. In that case, when booking, we ask you to confirm that you want to start before the end of the withdrawal period and that you understand that:

  • if you withdraw after the program has started, you pay for the part of the service already provided up to the moment you tell us;
  • if the service is fully completed within the 14 days, you can no longer withdraw.

The proportional amount is calculated based on what has already been provided. For this calculation, the consultation and the delivery of the personalized sleep plan account for 80% of the program price, and the follow-up support for the remaining 20%, spread evenly across the days of the program.

Once 14 days have passed since the booking date, programs are non-refundable, without prejudice to any rights the applicable law may grant you as a consumer.

8. Results

Every child and every family is different. We commit to giving you all our attention, knowledge and care, but we cannot guarantee specific results or exact timeframes. The success of a sleep plan depends largely on how consistently it is followed at home, on the child’s health and on factors beyond our control.

Decisions about your child are always yours. Parents are responsible for applying the plan and for ensuring the safe sleep conditions recommended by their pediatrician.

9. Vouchers

  • The voucher can be for any amount you choose, from €75, and can be used for any of our services. If the chosen service costs more than the voucher, you can pay the difference. If the chosen service costs less than the voucher, the remaining balance stays available for another service until the voucher expires.
  • It is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
  • To book, the person receiving the voucher should email msm@thesleepytreehouse.pt with the voucher code.
  • The voucher cannot be exchanged for cash. The buyer has the same 14 days to withdraw from the purchase, as long as the voucher has not yet been used.

10. Materials and intellectual property

The sleep plans, guides, booklets, questionnaires and other materials you receive are created by The Sleepy Treehouse and are for your family’s personal use only. They may not be copied, shared publicly, sold or used for commercial purposes without our written permission.

The same applies to the texts, images, illustrations and logo on the site. Blog articles are for information only and do not replace personalized support.

11. Liability

The Sleepy Treehouse is liable for the services it provides, as set out by law. We are not responsible for consequences resulting from false or incomplete information given to us, from the plan being applied differently from what we agreed, or from health issues that were not disclosed to us.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes the liability of The Sleepy Treehouse where such limitation or exclusion is not permitted by law.

Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law gives you as a consumer.

12. Personal data

How we handle your data and your child’s data is explained in our Privacy Policy.
